Steve Egger

As Vice President and General Manager of Top Grade’s Public Works division, Steve is responsible for overseeing all field operations for the Public Works division. Steve will also be heavily focused on building the capabilities of the department by coaching, mentoring and developing our current staff and recruiting talented employees that will be needed as the division grows.
Steve, a Top Grade veteran, possesses more than 25 years of construction experience, in the grading and paving industry.
Most recently, he held the position of Director of Field Operations where he managed up to 400 field staff at $240 million per year in revenue and notable projects including: Sand Hill Road – Stanford, Rancho Solano Subdivision and Golf Course, Embarcadero Re-Construction – San Francisco, Highway 880 Stevenson project, and North First Street Upgrades – Livermore, to name a few.
Prior to joining Top Grade, Egger spent time with DeSilva Gates Construction where he held the role of Area Superintendant for over 7 years. Prior to that Steve was a superintendant with Ghilotti Brothers and an engineer with Kiewit Pacific where he began his career.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Boise State University.
A California native, he resides in Concord with his wife and two children. He spends his free time with his horses, vintage dirt bikes and hunting.
